Virtual Lunch & Learn Lecture - Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Allyship

Presented by Florida Tech lecturer Jackie Noto and hosted by the Florida Tech Alumni Association.

1.   Identify some privileges and biases that one may have
2.   Explain why diversity, inclusion, and equity are important in one's workplace
3.   Differentiate between access, diversity, inclusion, equality, and equity
4.   Generate a list of actionable behaviors that promote allyship

Lecturer Bio

Jackie Noto works and studies in the field of behavioral science and focuses on creating positive changes in organizational and clinical settings.  She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who received her dual M.S. degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Organizational Behavior Management from Florida Institute of Technology. She is currently working on expanding her research while also continuing her education as a Ph.D. student under Dr. Nic Weatherly in Florida Tech’s Behavior Analysis program. Her research interests primarily lie in safety, culture, leadership, social validity, and improvements in the workplace.
