We know this is not what you imagined the end of your senior year to be like and our hearts go out to you and and your family. Perhaps it helps to know that Florida Tech remains strongly committed to helping you complete the admissions process and finalize your college plans for next year. It's important to us that you remain comfortable with and excited about your decision and your future. We're in this together!

Who can help me over the phone or email?

Contact the Office of Admission at admission@fit.edu or (321) 674-8030 and we will connect you with an available counselor or staff member. We are also happy to video chat with prospective families and to make arrangements for you speak with an academic department.

We are registered for a daily campus visit. What should I do?

In a precautionary response to recent public health concerns around COVID-19, Florida Tech has suspended all campus tours and information sessions at this time. We are in the process of contacting everyone that has a scheduled a campus visit to make alternative arrangements. 

We are registered for a Group Tour or a Panther Scavenger Hunt. Are these events still taking place?

In a precautionary response to recent public health concerns around COVID-19, Florida Tech has suspended all Group Tours and Panther “Scavenger Hunts” at this time. We hope you can join us at a later date. Keep checking back on our visitor page for visit opportunities!

We are registered for the upcoming Discovery Day or Admitted Student Day. Are these events still taking place?

All Admission events have been cancelled. We are currently developing a time frame to reschedule these events when feasible.

Florida Tech is scheduled to visit my area. Will a representative still come here?

Our travel has been limited due to travel restrictions, school closures, and many event cancellations. For the most up to date Admission Team travel plans, please visit https://admissions.fit.edu/portal/travel. As events are rescheduled, we will add them here. 

Have there been any confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Florida Tech community?

Please visit https://www.fit.edu/coronavirus/ for the most up to date information as it changes daily.

My current school closed. Will you accept an unofficial transcript?

Yes. We accept unofficial transcripts to make admission decisions. We understand that many schools are closed and this will delay final transcripts. 

Will unofficial documents or scores affect timing of admission notification?

No. As of now, this does not change our plans for any decisions coming from our office.

Will the enrollment deposit deadline be extended?

Florida Tech will accept enrollment deposits from admitted students after the May 1 deadline. We ask all students to submit their deposit as early as possible to confirm your spot for fall 2020.

Are other offices at Florida Tech open?

It varies by office. Areas that serve students are open for operations. However, we are requested that whenever possible that students and families conduct business digital or by phone. All academic departments are conducting courses online through the end of the semester. Please confirm the office you need is open prior to visiting campus. 

Is Florida Tech hosting athletic events or recruiting at this time?

Florida Tech Athletics has suspended all athletic activities indefinitely, effective immediately. In addition a recruiting NCAA “Dead Period” in all sports has been established until at least April 15th.
