Florida Institute of Technology (2009 to present)

Associate Professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program in the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts. Duties and responsibilities include: Teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses, grant development and acquisition, appraisal of student applications, supervision of theses, mentoring doctoral students, committee assignments, and student advisement.

Florida Institute of Technology (2006 to 2009)

Assistant Professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis track in the School of Psychology. Duties and responsibilities include: Teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses, research development, grant acquisition, practicum supervision, development of practicum sites, supervision of student thesis and capstone projects, program development, committee assignments, and student advisement.

Williamson County Schools (2005-2006)

Behavior Intervention Specialist
Grant funded position with school district to provide district-wide behavioral services to general education and special education students. Duties and responsibilities included: Completing functional behavioral assessments, developing behavior support plans, monitoring and evaluation of behaviorally based supports, instruction of professional development opportunities, providing in-service training, attending treatment team staffings, and coordination of community services via case management.

Vanderbilt University (2003 - 2005)

Research Assistant Professor in Special Education at Peabody College, Vanderbilt University. Duties included teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, supervision of students, and coordination of research laboratories. Online Course Developer (2010 to present)

Contracted content expert for the development of PSY 3421, Learning and Motivation. Responsible for the development of syllabus and assessments, course materials, and online delivery.

Interim Program Chair (Spring 2010)

Responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the ABA program. Tasks included oversight of academic programs, student recruitment, course scheduling, coordianation of student selection processes, and program representation on departmental, college, and university-wide committees.

Current Research

Use of vibrotactile prompting strategies to teach social skills to students with autism, application of differential outcomes effect (DOE) in clinical and educational settings, use of accelerometers to quantify cranio-facial self injury, the use of web-based observation systems for practical experience, technology in education, and assessment of social skills in children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
