Current Research and Selected Publications
My current research centers on the rigorous analysis and numerical simulation of free boundary and related optimal control problems. One model example from this family of problems comes from the identification of ice surface dynamics together with estimates for the heat flux on inaccessible portions of the domain. Applications are also found in biomedical engineering and population dynamics.
