Graduate Financial Aid

There are four types of financial assistance available to graduate students:

  • Federal Student Loans
  • Graduate Assistantships
  • Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant Tuition Scholarship (DGRATS) Program
  • Univeristy Scholarships

Federal Student Loans

Graduate students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens may qualify for Federal Student Loans.  Students wishing to utilize Federal student loans must: 

  • be admitted to a degree-seeking program at Florida Tech
  • be enrolled at least half-time 
  • complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Graduate students have two Federal student loan options: the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford loan and the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.  Please note that the Graduate PLUS loan requires a credit application that can be completed through For more information on Federal student loans, please visit

Graduate Assistantships, DGRATS and Fellowships

Well-qualified students offered admission to a Florida Tech master's or doctoral program at the Melbourne, Florida campus may be eligible for a graduate assistantship, DGRATS or fellowship. Interested students should visit their college for more detailed information. 

 Graduate Scholarships

Select students may be offered a Graduate Scholarships based on their academic achievements.  All applicants are reviewed for scholarship eligibility at the time of admission.
