Graduate Financial Aid

There are four types of financial assistance available to graduate students:

  • Federal Student Loans
  • Graduate Assistantships
  • Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant Tuition Scholarship (DGRATS) Program
  • Univeristy Scholarships

Federal Student Loans

Graduate students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens may qualify for Federal Student Loans.  Students wishing to utilize Federal student loans must meet the  Basic Eligibility Criteria set forth by the U.S. Department of Education.  Click here for eligibility and renewal requirements.

Qualifying graduate students have two Federal student loan options: the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford loan and the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.  Please note that the Graduate PLUS loan requires a credit application that can be completed through For more information on Federal student loans, please visit

Graduate Assistantships, DGRATS and Fellowships

Well-qualified students offered admission to a Florida Tech master's or doctoral program at the Melbourne, Florida campus may be eligible for a graduate assistantship, DGRATS or fellowship. Interested students should visit their college for more detailed information. 

 Graduate Scholarships

Select students may be offered a Graduate Scholarships based on their academic achievements.  All applicants are reviewed for scholarship eligibility at the time of admission.
