The Florida Institute of Technology Running Club was founded in August 2022 after the Cross Country and Track programs were cut from the varsity sports roster for undisclosed reasons. Despite losing athletic funding, resources, and recruiting scholarships, we competed in the NIRCA Regional Championships in Wingate, North Carolina. Our men's team placed 7th out of 15 teams, narrowly missing a spot in the National Championships. This was an impressive feat for our debut cross country club season, and we have our sights set even higher next semester for Track and Field.

Running means the world to us, and your contributions to our organization ensure we can travel to races, purchase essential gear, and provide an overall good experience for our athletes. At first, we were very disappointed with the news that our team was being cut, although after experiencing a season, we realized some significant benefits. The main advantage to being a club over a team is that we can substantially expand our reach to students. We have provided this experience to many first-time runners at the school and hope to branch out further and assist community running events.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our club. We are so proud of everything we have accomplished this season and look forward to the future. Your contributions are important to keep our dream alive. We wish you the best.
