After the last semester, Tresor Djaffah Digba returned home to renew his student Visa and make sure his family is safe from the effects of the large-scale civil unrest within his country. During his stay there, his sponsor cut him off from all funding and walked out on him before his last semester at FIT.

Since then he has somehow managed to scrape by, selling most of his belongings in the US and Chad, and even managed to register for this semester at Florida Tech. He barely paid the first payment for his tuition and will not be able to pay the remainder without help. Despite that, he is still stuck in Chad and doesn't know what to do.

He is one of the kindest people I have met at FIT and has helped me and many others in countless situations. As such, we feel indebted to him and obligated to help him in his time of need. Not to mention the fact that we all miss him a lot.
The money we raise will go to his travel, visa, and tuition expenses. We will send him the money through Western Union, I already have the info from him in order to do that.

He only has a semester of classes left, he might have to take some over the summer if he arrives to the US too late, however.

He needs a bit less than $13,000 to finish everything. However, any bit helps due to the fact that he is prepared to sell his car, clothes anything just to get there. Everything we raise will make his life way easier and help him out tremendously once he does get here. Even if we raise only $2000-$5000 it will mean he will able to reach his goal by selling his things.

During one of our conversations, he even mentioned trying to go to loan sharks in his country for that money. If we reach that $5000 goal that will not happen. That is our primary concern because loansharks will put him and his family in a lot of danger.

Basically, the more we raise the better, but any contribution will help a lot. Even if we only raise $1000 it will allow him not to worry about food while under such pressures.
