Fast Track Accelerated Master's Degree Program

Florida Tech's Fast Track accelerated master's degree program gives highly motivated current Florida Tech students the opportunity to take graduate-level course work while still undergraduates, making it possible to complete a master’s degree in less time. Students interested in pursuing a Fast Track Master’s Degree at Florida Tech should refer to the program descriptions and requirements below and apply by contacting your academic advisor or the Office of Graduate Admissions.

Florida Tech offers Fast Track options for campus-based students as well as online students

Fast Track Program Benefits*

  1. Earn up to six graduate credits in your senior year without the cost of graduate tuition (a $7,074 savings).
  2. Bypass the time commitment, anxiety and costs of graduate admission requirements.
  3. Students in all other graduate programs keep 60% (up to $12,000) of your Florida Tech undergraduate scholarship(s) during your fifth year of studies as a full-time graduate student (minimum nine credits per semester).
  4. Gain the opportunity to replace your scholarship with a lucrative graduate or research assistantship plus wages.
  5. Complete a Florida Tech master’s degree in less time than you would via traditional programs.

Fast Track Programs - Melbourne Campus

B.S./M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching)

Combines a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in teaching. Any undergraduate major with a 3.0 cumulative GPA who has completed 95 credits is eligible.

B.S./M.S. in Aviation

Combines a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in aviation. Any undergraduate major with a 3.3 cumulative GPA who has completed 95 credits is eligible. Graduate programs available are: Airport Development and Management and Applied Aviation Safety.

B.S./M.S. in Aviation (Human Factors)

Combines select bachelor’s degrees with a master’s degree in aviation human factors. All aeronautics, applied psychology, computer science or engineering undergraduate majors with a 3.3 cumulative GPA who have completed 95 credits are eligible.

B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and Software Engineering

Combines a bachelor’s degree with a master's degree in Computer ScienceComputer Information Systems and Software Engineering. These majors with a 3.4 GPA and who have completed 95 credits are eligible.

B.S./M.S. in Engineering

Combines a bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science with a master’s degree in engineering. Engineering and applied science majors with a 3.4 cumulative GPA who have completed 95 credits are eligible. Graduate programs available are: Aerospace EngineeringBiomedical EngineeringChemical EngineeringCivil EngineeringCoastal Zone ManagementComputer EngineeringEarth Remote SensingElectrical EngineeringEngineering ManagementEnvironmental Resource ManagementEnvironmental ScienceMechanical EngineeringMeteorologyOcean EngineeringOceanography, and Systems Engineering.

B.S./M.S. in Human-Centered Design

Combines a bachelor’s degree with a master’s in Human-Centered Design. Any undergraduate major with a cumulative 3.4 GPA who has completed 95 credits is eligible.

B.S./M.S. in Psychology

Combines a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a master's degree in psychology. Psychology majors with a 3.4 cumulative GPA who have completed 95 credits are eligible. Graduate programs available are: Applied Behavior Analysis and Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

B.S./M.S. in Science

Combines a bachelor’s degree in science with a master’s degree in science. Science majors with a 3.4 GPA who have completed 95 credits are eligible. Graduate programs available are: Applied MathematicsBiochemistryBiological SciencesBiotechnology, Cell and Molecular BiologyChemistryConservation TechnologyEcologyMarine Biology, Mathematical Sciences, Operations Research and Physics and Space Sciences.

B.S./M.S. in Global Strategic Communication

Combines a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in global strategic communication. Any undergraduate major with a cumulative 3.2 GPA who has completed 95 credits is eligible.

Online B.A./MBA

Combines an online bachelor’s degree in business with a online master of business administration (MBA) degree. Any online undergraduate business major who has completed 95 credits with a 3.4 cumulative GPA is eligible.
