International Admissions Information

Florida Tech has a dedicated staff of international admissions counselors to help students learn about, apply to, and enroll at the university. In many ways, the process is the same for international students as it is for U.S. students, but not always. International students typically have additional questions and concerns for the university, as well as a few extra steps to both apply and enroll.

If you are confused, stuck or simply unsure, please contact us. We have helped thousands of international students apply to and enroll at Florida Tech and welcome the opportunity to serve you as well.

Visiting Campus

International students are always welcome and encouraged to visit campus. The university offers a variety of undergraduate visit options . Graduate students may reach out to the Office of Graduate Admissions to schedule a consultation.

Important Admissions Info for International Students

The academic requirements of international students seeking undergraduate or graduate admission to Florida Tech mirror those of domestic (U.S.) students. The admission and application process, however, differs.

Please familiarize yourself with the following, which will help you to understand all the steps required to become a Florida Tech Panther:

  • Foreign Credential Evaluation - If you have earned any type of college credit outside of the U.S. in a language other than English, and you wish to transfer credit to Florida Tech, you will need to complete and submit one of these.
  • English Language Proficiency - If English is not your home language, you must provide evidence of proficiency before you may enroll in academic coursework at Florida Tech.
  • International Marketing Consultants - Your first point-of-contact with Florida Tech may be an interaction with one of the International Marketing Consultants we have entrusted to represent the university overseas.
  • Obtaining Your I-20 - If you are admitted and choose to enroll at Florida Tech, you will need to obtain nonimmigrant student status from the federal government in order to travel to and study in the U.S. This starts with the I-20.
