Withdrawal Policy

Withdrawals

Refunds, minus a cancellation fee, will be provided to students when a request to withdraw is received by the deadline advertised for the course. Cancellation fees vary by course.

Transfers

Transfers of registration from one term to another will be provided to students when a request to transfer is received by the deadline advertised for the course. Transfer fees vary by course.

To withdraw from a course or transfer a course registration to a subsequent term, students must complete the appropriate withdrawal survey by the deadline advertised for the course.

Failure to attend classes or verbal notification to instructors does not constitute an official withdrawal. Students who simply stop attending courses or fail to complete the course requirements without submitting the proper withdrawal survey will receive a failing grade of F. When a student withdraws from a course on or before the deadline to receive a refund, the course will not appear on the student's permanent academic record. When a student withdraws after the refund deadline, a W will appear on the student's permanent record for each course from which the student has withdrawn. The W is not punitive and is not used in the computation of grade point averages.
