Library Group Study Rooms Use

General Policy

Group Study Rooms are available to Florida Tech faculty, students, and staff. Due to high student demand and limited space, rooms are intended for group use and for academic or scholarly purposes.  Rooms are not available for use by community patrons.  Room occupants are responsible for the room and equipment. Abuse of facilities or equipment will result in fines and/or disciplinary action.

To assure equitable access, room reservations are limited to a maximum of two hours at a time and adjoining reservations are not permitted. Each individual is limited to three standing reservations at any one time.  Room keys will only be checked out to the person who made the reservation. If the room key is not checked out within 15 minutes of the reservation start time, the reservation will automatically be canceled and the room made available for someone else.

The Dean of Libraries, or the Dean’s designee, may grant exceptions to this policy at his/her discretion.
