4.3 Paydays and Pay Periods
Employees are paid every two weeks on Friday. The pay week runs from 12:01 a.m. Sunday to midnight the following Saturday. Payday is the Friday following the close of a two-week pay period. Your pay check will reflect wages earned for the previous two-week pay period. The time from the close of the pay period to payday allows for the university to process the previous two weeks time reports and ensure that your pay check is correct.
If you are absent on payday, you may, in writing, authorize a representative to pick up your check. Otherwise, your supervisor will hold your pay check for you until you return to work.
Check with your department for their procedure on distribution of pay checks.
Should any payday fall on a holiday, you will normally be paid on the preceding workday.
Final pay checks for employees who resign or are terminated are normally mailed by the employing department on the regular payday following the date of separation.
