8.1 Application for Employment

Policy

The Hiring manager is responsible for the review, interview and final section process of candidates.

Hiring managers may discuss an applicant’s salary expectations during the interview process. They may also provide the candidate with information regarding the University's  benefit plans. Formal offers of employment will be extended to an applicant by the Office of Human Resources.

The employment application is an important phase of the hiring process and becomes a part of the employee's permanent record. All information submitted on the application form is subject to verification. A formal pre-employment background check, which may include a credit check, is required for specific positions. The university reserves the right of dismissal upon finding an omission, misrepresentation, or falsification of fact on the employee's application or upon discovery of unfavorable information as a result of the background check.

Employment opportunities including the application process may be found online.
