Florida Tech is within your reach.

We empathize with students (and parents) who worry about affording college and the cost of private education. But we also know from experience that families who are proactively engaged in the financial aid process almost never pay full tuition.

Often, the net cost of your education will be substantially less than what is listed. In many cases, more than 50% less. It all starts with our ambitious Florida Tech scholarship program, making affording college a lot easier.

Prospective students who have not yet applied for admission or filed the FAFSA can use the Net Price Calculator to begin their financial planning.

Your application counts twice.

That's right, your application for admission is also your application for Florida Tech Scholarships worth up to 50% of tuition. These merit awards are based on your academic performance in high school, SAT or ACT results, and class rank.

Special scholarship consideration will also be given to students graduating from an NCSSSMST high school, participating in a FIRST Robotics team, or who have achieved the Eagle Scout rank or Girl Scout Gold Award.

Florida Tech Scholarships are granted at time of admission and are applied toward tuition and fees upon full-time Melbourne campus enrollment. Apply by Feb. 1 for priority consideration.

Everyone should file the FAFSA.

To be considered for additional, need-based financial assistance, admitted students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Just make sure to list Florida Tech's School Code, 001469. You may file the FAFSA anytime after Jan. 1. We encourage you to file the FAFSA as early as possible.

Connect with Florida Tech to earn additional grants.

In addition to the assistance outlined above, all students have the opportunity to earn a $1,000 Alumni Endorsement Grant (per year) by connecting with a Florida Tech grad (renewable for four years for a total of $4,000; effective Fall 2011 for new students). Depending on your circumstances, you may also be eligible for:

  • Florida State Aid
  • A Florida Tech Athletic Scholarship
  • ROTC Room and Board Grant
  • Florida Tech Legacy and Keep it in the Family Grants
  • Transfer and Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
  • Veterans Benefits
  • Tuition Exchange benefits

See Scholarships and Grants for more information about these opportunities that make affording college a lot easier.
