Why Florida Tech

A small, private research university located on Florida’s sunny Space Coast, Florida Institute of Technology is home to world-class faculty and relentlessly curious students who learn best by doing. Our roots are in space, and our vision reaches beyond it. As Florida’s STEM university, we’re hands-on, innovative and strong in majors across all disciplines.

Florida Tech is a Tier 1 Best National University (U.S. News & World Report), a Top 20 Technical Institute (Fiske Guide to Colleges) and a College of Distinction (Colleges of Distinction).

The Major You Want

Thinking about a career in business? It takes drive, innovation and a relentless pursuit of greatness. How do we know? We’ve got all three.

In fact, Florida Tech was founded on just a 37-cent donation in a bar (ask us about that one later), and today is ranked one of U.S. News and World Report’s Tier 1 Best National Universities.

Our Nathan M. Bisk College of Business offers specialized business degrees enriched through practical applications, a global perspective, faculty mentors and collaborative teams. Here, you'll develop a strong background in business and get hands-on experience in modern management strategies and best practices.

More To Look Forward To

Our expert faculty teach students to think critically, work effectively in teams and create and explore new opportunities to innovate in our rapidly changing, technology-driven world.

They achieve this partly through immersive research and hands-on projects like our business practicum. A signature component of all undergraduate business degree programs, the business practicum course pairs students with local employers for realistic, practical business experience that allows them to implement the lessons they’ve learned in the classroom and prepares them for the challenges of a career in the real world.

Beyond the classroom, business students build leadership experience through exciting internships and participation in academic organizations like Delta Mu Delta (national business honor society), the Society for Advancement of Management, student government and over 100 other student organizations.
