Lisa P. Grant
Lisa P. Grant '95 M.S. is a nationally recognized acquisition executive, leadership strategist, and proud Florida Tech alumna, with a nearly 40-year career transforming federal procurement, building the next generation of acquisition leaders, and working in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she safeguarded the institution's operations and helped modernize the Congressional transition.
Her distinguished acquisition career spans the Defense Logistics Agency, the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, and the U.S. General Services Administration. She directed procurement portfolios exceeding $1 billion and led teams of up to 200 acquisition professionals, transforming procurement policy and reducing procurement lead times by 40 percent.
Grant's career culminated in service to the U.S. House of Representatives, where she was appointed chief procurement officer and later deputy clerk. As deputy clerk, she could be seen on national television on the floor of the House chamber, assisting Members in executing their constitutional duties, and seated before the President of the United States and world leaders during joint sessions of Congress. Additionally, she led the modernization of the 119th congressional transition process, replacing 100-year paper-based systems with secure digital platforms and reducing transition timelines while improving audit readiness and transparency.
Grant is equally known for her commitment to workforce development, having designed House-wide acquisition training curricula and train-the-trainer programs that strengthened readiness for hundreds of contracting professionals across the federal government. Her leadership and impact have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Commissioner's Award for Acquisition Excellence, the Army Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Army Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the Department of Homeland Security Service Excellence Award, the Excellence in Procurement Award from the Coalition of Government Procurement, and recognition as one of the Top 100 Women in Government and Technology.
After retiring from the U.S. House of Representatives, Grant founded RESULTS in Executive Acquisition Leadership, LLC, to provide consulting services in government contracting and leadership training. Seeing a void in training for young professionals, she launched the “Inside the Executive Ranks” podcast to equip rising professionals with the tools needed to ascend to the C-Suite. She is a sought-after keynote speaker, guest lecturer, facilitator, moderator, and leadership trainer.
Grant is an alumna of Florida Tech, where she earned her Master of Science in Management, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Troy University. She is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), a John Maxwell Certified Coach, trainer, and speaker, and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute.
Beyond her professional achievements, Grant is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and was appointed by the Fayetteville, Georgia city council to serve on the City of Fayetteville's 2027 Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
She resides in Fayetteville, Georgia, with her husband, Bernard Grant ’97 M.S. (also a Florida Tech alum).
