Adopt an Aunt -n- Uncle Program

Transitioning from high school to college is difficult, especially when moving away from family and friends, sometimes hundreds of miles from home. Everyone's first year of college comes with both highs and lows. Some days one feels lonely and homesick; others one is empowered by newfound independence. One learns and grows more than thought possible. Having a solid base away form home with people who care about you and share your values is extremely important.

The Protestant Campus Ministry at Florida Tech is partnering with the HOPE club to provide a program to connect incoming students with caring families from local churches thus providing that solid base away from home.

What is the HOPE Club?

The goal of the HOPE club is Panthers living life with a confident HOPE and balance mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.

The mission of HOPE Club is:

  • to create an environment of HOPE through social interaction and a spirit of community.
  • to foster growth where students learn to maintain balance in all areas of their life.
  • to enhance understanding of one’s relationship with God and it application to everyday life.
  • to develop HOPE in others through service to the broader community.
