Housing Deposit Refund Request

Florida Institute of Technology has partnered with Heartland ECSI to establish the Refund Select portal for processing all student refunds. You may access the portal at heartland.ecsi.net. You will have the ability to choose to receive your refund via direct deposit to your bank account or traditional paper check. If you choose to receive a paper check, please be sure that your mailing address is up-to-date in PAWS.

Part or all of your housing deposit may be forfeited upon check-out if your room or common areas are in need of repairs, replacement, maintenance, disinfection, extermination or cleaning. A housing deposit refund request form must be submitted within 60 days of your last housing enrollment. Once received and processed, your PAWS account will be credited, less any monies owed to Florida Institute of Technology. Deposits over 60 days from last enrollment will be forfeited.

I understand:

  • Any monies owed to Florida Institute of Technology will be deducted from the deposit prior to the refund request being processed.
  • Refund requests will result in the cancellation of my Florida Tech mail box. It is my responsibility to contact the Florida Tech Mailroom
    with my forwarding address.
  • Refunds are processed after inspections by Florida Tech staff have been completed and all housing fines have been assessed.
  • After check-out and housing deposit refund request are submitted, it may take 8–10 weeks for processing.
