Applicants to the Master of Public Administration program must hold a bachelor’s degree, but it does not need to be in public or business administration. Depending on academic background, some students may be asked to complete preparatory coursework, such as college algebra, to ensure a strong foundation for graduate-level study.

The Public Administration, MPA, Curriculum
In Florida Tech’s MPA program, you’ll gain a solid foundation in accounting, finance, organizational behavior and law while focusing on the unique challenges of public administration.
Coursework in this 33-credit program explores topics such as public policy, program evaluation, government contracting and the relationship between business and government. Through case studies and applied projects, you’ll develop practical skills to address real-world issues in public service.
The program concludes with a team-based capstone consulting project for an external client, giving you the chance to apply your knowledge and demonstrate your readiness to lead in the public sector.
