Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar assists academic units in ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures pertaining to the observance of academic calendars, examinations, grading practices, and recording academic performance, which includes academic honors, academic probation and academic dismissal. The registrar’s office certifies transfer credit from outside the university, verifies completion of degree requirements and coordinates the graduation ceremony.

Waitlists Announced for Some Spring 2015 Classes

The Registrar’s Office is pleased to offer an automated waitlist pilot for a small number of Spring 2015 classes. A student who attempts to register for a closed section of one of the piloted classes will have the option to place himself/herself on an automated waitlist (first-come, first-served basis). When an open seat becomes available in the desired CRN, the student at the top of the waitlist will receive a notification via his/her FIT email address and have 24 hours to go online and add the class. No other student will be able to register for that seat during the student’s time period. If the student does not respond within the allotted time, he/she will be automatically dropped from the waitlist and the next student on the list will be notified.
