Bio

I perform lightning research under Hamid Rassoul for the Geospace Physics Laboratory. My lightning research is focused on analyzing optical and broadband electromagnetic field data of downward negative and positive leaders on the microsecond to sub-microsecond time scale, recorded at the Melbourne Lightning Observatory on the campus of Florida Tech. Additionally, I use an array of discone antennas to perform VHF interferometry of lightning leader channels.

I received my BA in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Florida Tech in 2021. As an undergraduate, I started performing lightning research in the Geospace Physics Laboratory in 2019, which has carried over to my graduate studies and the present. I was raised in New Hampshire and I enjoy watching movies and playing video games in my free time.
