Bio
I am advised by Dr. Marcus Hohlmann and am completing my Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in high energy particle physics. My research uses data from the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider to search for new particles predicted by theories beyond the Standard Model, such as vector-like quarks. I focus on developing data-driven methods, object performance studies, and machine-learning techniques to enhance signal sensitivity.
I am originally from Albania and moved to the United States in 2016, where I earned my B.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Florida Tech in 2020. My interest in high energy physics grew during research experiences at Fermilab and CERN, inspiring me to pursue a Ph.D. focused on uncovering new particles and exploring physics beyond the Standard Model.
