The Honor Society for First-Generation Students
Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) recognizes the academic excellence of first-generation college students. We provide a national community of support, mentorship, and distinction for those who are the first in their families to pave the way.
Eligibility
To be eligible to become a member of Tri-Alpha:
- Neither parent nor any legal guardian has earned a bachelor's degree.
- Be a current Florida Tech student enrolled at least half-time in:
- an associate or bachelor's degree program, or
- a graduate degree program.
- Have completed:
- at least 30 credit hours as an undergraduate student, or
- at least 9 credit hours as a graduate student.
- Have an overall undergraduate GPA of:
- at least 3.2 as an undergraduate student, or
- at least 3.5 as a graduate student.
