25 Week Club
Dear Friends in Faith,
I write today to thank you for all the ways you have supported the Florida Tech Catholic Campus Ministry. Your faithful prayers, generous donations, and dedicated volunteer hours have all helped build CCM into the strong and vibrant faith community that it is today. We have seen tremendous growth in our ministry during the past two years, and there’s no sign that we’re slowing down!
I am so grateful to Fr. Doug and our community, the Society of the Divine Savior, for entrusting me with this sacred mission to support the young faithful of Florida Tech. Since my arrival it has been my goal to create a space for students of any faith to feel welcome and accepted. Perhaps one of the greatest indicators of success in this is our weekly spaghetti dinners.
In 2017, we served approximately 40 students each week. At present, almost 100 students gather at the All Faiths Center to enjoy a meal and fellowship every Wednesday evening. That means that the participation rate has more than doubled over the past two years. Personally, I am ecstatic that we are able to break bread with so many young people on a regular basis. I am sure that their lives are enriched not only by the weekly meals, but also by small faith sharing groups, alpha nights, retreats, and the Sacraments.
One of our students recently shared, “Through CCM, I have experienced wonderful community at Florida Tech. The programs and events that CCM has are wonderful ways to meet other Florida Tech students interested in growing in their faith as well as getting involved in campus ministry. CCM has encouraged me to take the next step in my faith”. Delaney Lisco Class of 2021
Of course, as our student base grows, the CCM requires more resources to maintain these services. We currently are a staff of two, and hope to add a part-time campus minister to our ranks this year. In order to do that, we will need your help! Many of you have been part of the 25-Week Club in years past, and I am excited to share that we will continue this tradition. As we work to keep the Light of Christ alive at Florida Tech, I hope that you will consider joining the 25-Week Club again this year. Details are below.
The 25 Week Club is our only fundraiser for the year. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us in the mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the students and community of Florida Tech by joining the 25 Week Club. With each entry (and I hope you consider more than one) you have an opportunity to win $25 at our weekly drawings and every 5th week two $25 tickets are drawn during our spaghetti dinners. You need not be present to win. Online donations can be made here: ChurchGiving
