Applying For Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment admission is not automatic. Dual enrollment applications will be evaluated by the Office of Undergraduate Admission to determine if the applicant is academically prepared for the requested courses.  A notification of acceptance or denial into the dual enrollment program will be sent to the applicant following our review of the application.

Applicants to the dual enrollment program at Florida Tech must be junior or senior level high school students whose transcripts indicate the candidate's potential for success in rigorous first-year university courses. General dual enrollment minimum admission requirements are as follows:

  • Combined SAT (Critical Reading and Math): 1100; (550 math portion if courses in math, science or engineering are desired).
  • ACT: 24 (25 math sub-score if courses in math, science or engineering are desired).
  • Rank (if applicable): Top 25%

Applicant’s application submission and letter of endorsement must demonstrate a maturity consistent with college level performance.

To apply, interested junior and senior level high school students must:

  • Submit official letter of endorsement from a high school counselor or principal

Incomplete applications will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure all requested materials are sent to, and received, by the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Florida Tech.

  • Dual enrolled students are permitted to enroll in courses on a space available basis and only with the permission of the university professor who is teaching the course.
  • Dual enrollment is not available for students who have graduated from high school. (That would be regular enrollment at Florida Tech! Interested? Apply now!)
