Personal Overview

Captain Doug is fast approaching retirement, having amassed over 27,000 flight hours. He flew most Airbus types for 22 years but will finish his Air Canada career as a training captain on the Boeing 787 (Dreamliner). Doug a certified meteorologist, having worked as a forecaster for Atmospheric Environment Canada for four years, and has taught aviation weather for over 35 years. His name has been in print over 350 times. He has written four aviation books, two on aviation meteorology. As far as aviation weather, Doug have flown it, taught it, forecasted it, written about it, admired it, and, of course, respected it.
