What is the role of the Budget Department?

We are a team of experienced professionals whose goal is to provide the necessary information so the most effective decisions regarding budget allocation and use of campus resources can be made. The Office of Budget analyzes various financial resource information to strengthen Florida Tech’s planning, decision making, and policy formation to ensure a healthy budget for the university.

Our goal is accomplished by these primary responsibilities…

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain capital and operating budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with university guidelines
  • Provide budget support and adjustment services
  • Develop multi-year enrollment and budget forecasting and development
  • Position control

Our mission:

The mission of the Office of Budget is to productively manage and oversee the budget resources of Florida Institute of Technology.

Financial Managers use the Budget Self Service system accessed through PAWS Finance for the majority of the budgeting needs, such as annual budget development and current year budget allocations.  Additional forms are located to the right that may be used to meet certain budgetary needs.
