Honor Societies
The following academic honor societies are present and active at the Florida Institute of Technology.
Beta Beta Beta
The Purpose of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society shall be to function as an honor and professional society for students of the biological sciences. Its activities shall be designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation in the biological sciences, and to promote the dissemination of information and new interpretations among students of the life sciences.
Chi Epsilon
The honor society's purpose is for the further academic and professional advancement of Civil Engineering Students.
Delta Mu Delta
Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership.
Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
Phi Eta Sigma was founded by three distinguished Phi Beta Kappa members, professors, and administrators at the University of Illinois on March 22, 1923, to encourage and recognize high scholastic achievement among members of the freshman classes. Phi Eta Sigma is the third most senior member of the Association of College Honor Societies.
Phi Kappa Phi
Founded in 1897 at the University of Maine, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines. Its chapters are on more than 300 campuses in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. Each year, approximately 30,000 members are initiated.
Psi Chi
Psi Chi is a national honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
Tau Beta Pi
Tau Beta Pi is the only national engineering honor society to encompass all engineering disciplines. Each semester the top students in the school of engineering who show good character are invited to join the organization. Tau Beta Pi focuses its efforts on academic success, community service, and helping utilizing its large network of engineers all over the world.
Upsilon Pi Epsilon
The mission of UPE is to recognize academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Computing and Information Disciplines
