LTC Christopher Housel commissioned into the Army as a Distinguished Military Graduate from Widener University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology. He holds a Master of Arts in Military Studies from Marine Corps University. He is a graduate of the Basic Officer Leadership and Military Police Officer Basic Courses, the United States Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School, and the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

LTC Housel served in a variety of assignments including CBRN Specialist, A Company, 458th Engineer Battalion in Iraq; Platoon Leader, 110th Military Police Company at Fort Carson, Colorado; Executive Officer, 110th Military Police Company at Fort Carson, Colorado and Afghanistan; Training Officer and Current Operations Officer, 503d Military Police Battalion (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Provost Operations Officer at the Fort Bragg Provost Marshal Office; Company Commander, 118th Military Police Company (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; S3, Washing CID Battalion at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Virginia; Deputy Provost Marshal, 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; G33, 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Afghanistan, and Poland; S3, 16th Military Police Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Romania; XO, 16th Military Police Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Djibouti; and G34, 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. LTC Housel’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom II (2004-2005); Operation Enduring Freedom XIII (2012); Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and Allies Refuge (2021); Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce in Poland and Romania (2022), and Operation Oaken Soundstage (2023).
