Florida Tech requires students to carry personal health insurance. If you are currently covered by a comparable health insurance coverage through the end of the academic year, you may be able to waive automatic enrollment in the school-sponsored plan (insurance fee of $715.00 per semester for 2021-2022 annual coverage from August 10, 2021 to August 9, 2022) by following these steps:
- Have your school ID number and current insurance information ready.
- You will be able to see whether the waiver was accepted or denied after you complete the process. If denied, you will get an email with instructions on the appeals process.
September 17, 2021 is the DEADLINE to waive University Student Health Insurance. If you do not waive the student health insurance, your student account will be billed $715.00 per semester (Fall 2021 and Spring 2022), and you will be automatically enrolled in the student health insurance program with United Healthcare.
