The mission of the Department of Computer Engineering and Sciences is to prepare computing, engineering and systems students for success and leadership in the conception, design, management, implementation and operation of complex engineering problems, and to expand knowledge and understanding of computing and engineering through research, scholarship and service.
Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering and Sciences! Our goal is to prepare computer, electrical, and systems engineering students for success and leadership, and to expand knowledge and understanding through research, scholarship, and service.
The department offers a variety of graduate, undergraduate, and certificate programs in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Human-Centered Design, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Systems Engineering. Many courses and programs are offered on-line as well as in person.
We currently have over 1000 students and 35 full-time faculty. Our graduates work for many companies, including Electronic Arts, Facebook, GE, Google, Harris, IBM, Microsoft, Northrop/Grumman, LinkedIn, Raytheon, Space-X, and United Launch Alliance. Faculty conduct research in a variety of computing, electrical, and system engineering areas, and are funded by many private and government agencies.
