The Florida Institute of Technology Women’s Rowing Club was founded in August 2022 after the Athletic Department eliminated Women's Varsity Rowing, thus removing Athletic Department funding, resources, and recruiting scholarships.

With the help of Friends of FIT Rowing, we were able to compete in the world-renowned Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston in the fall of 2022 and 2023. In 2022 the women’s four with coxswain earned a bronze medal. In 2023 the women’s four with coxswain earned a silver medal. In the spring of 2023, we were undefeated. We beat Division II Varsity programs at the Florida State Championships, Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regional Championships and the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta. We ended the 2022-2023 season winning the National Club Rowing Championships at Oak Ridge, TN on May 20th.  We hope to continue this winning streak in the 2023 – 2024 school year.

Rowing means everything to us and is a critical part of our college years. Your support will allow our rowing program to continue and grow, as we strive to provide opportunities for women to represent FIT at highly competitive regattas.

Our eligibility window is limited and we want to make the most of our time here at FIT, despite the funding and resource setback in 2022. With your support, we can keep our rowing dreams alive, and continue bringing international recognition to our beloved university.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us. We are proud of everything we accomplished last year and are excited about our new season. Please consider making a donation to the Women’s Rowing Club.
