Panther Parent Connection

Florida Tech greatly respects the vital role parents play and the trust they give in sending their students here to study. We welcome parent and family engagement and there are many ways you can get involved with the university... and with your input, we are developing more. Bookmark this page as a resource and let us know if is anything you have trouble finding as you navigate these important years with your student.

Parent Leadership Council (PLC)

Florida Tech created the Parent Leadership Council in recognition of the integral that parents play in supporting their students financially and emotionally as they pursue their education. The PLC reflects the importance of families in the university's success. We ask members of this select group to become investors in the enterprise, advisors to the President, and supporters of one of the world's greatest STEM universities.

Parent Ambassadors

Parents are invited to support the university with their contributions of time, and this is a wonderful and rewarding way to be involved. Opportunities include helping at college fairs and to recruit and interview prospective students,  serving as career coaches and mentors, providing externship and internship opportunities and many more.

Parent participation in supporting Florida Tech is the most tangible way of showing pride and support for the mission. Whatever level you give, the percentage of parents contributing to the Panther Fund or to other programs helps us to show other funders that we are moving in the right direction and that you join in our efforts. And the support you give helps directly to build stronger academic programs.  Give today!

Learning Opportunities for Parents

Florida Tech is proud to have so many faculty who are leaders in their field and who are often called upon to talk about their work in the public. We will, from time to time, host events and lectures both live and virtual. This can be a great opportunity to get to know one of your students’ professors and to get a flavor of the exciting learning opportunities they are enjoying here.
