Transfer Admissions

Transfer Admission Requirements

The Office of Undergraduate Admission reviews all candidates for transfer admission with the same care and focus as our first time in college applicants, and with the same goal. We want to enroll students with a high potential for success at Florida Tech. Your future is our priority!

What We Look At

Undergraduate transfer applicants must demonstrate preparation for continued undergraduate study and the readiness to succeed in a challenging academic program at Florida Tech.

General Requirements

To be evaluated for transfer admission, you must submit a complete Florida Tech application as well as:

  • Transcripts (official) from all colleges and universities attended
  • High school transcript, high school diploma or GED (must bear date of graduation)
  • Standardized test scores (if you have earned fewer than 24 semester hours of college credit)

International transfer students may have additional or alternative requirements, such as providing evidence of English proficiency and submitting a Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE). (links)

What We Look For

When reviewing transfer applications, our primary focus is on your prior academic performance in college, which makes your college transcripts the most important element of your application. Florida Tech does not specify a minimum required GPA, but your grades must indicate a strong potential for success in the academic program to which you are applying. Admission is granted to applicants whose transcripts reflect significant achievement and progress in relevant coursework.
