International Night/Coffee Hour

We all enjoy a vacation every once in a while and isn’t the best vacation a trip to a far-away land?

Why not take an hour out of your busy day and travel far away? Taste the delicious foods and beverages, enjoy the music, and experience the varieties of life in the places your classmates call home.

Florida Tech is home to approximately 1800 international students from 120 different countries.  FIT also boasts an active Study Abroad program, as well as a program that awards participants with a certificate in Cross Cultural Competence.  Attendance at International Coffee Hour gatherings counts toward required activities for this certificate. Join together with international students eager to share their customs and culture with you. Also join with domestic students who have similar interests as you in learning about the world around them. Enjoy free coffee, tea, international food, and friendship with students from every part of the world!

International Night / Coffee Hour is an event designed for students and faculty to gather for coffee and snacks while meeting new people from around the world, seeing old friends, and making plans for the weekend. This two hour-long event will take place on designated Fridays throughout the Fall and Spring semesters at a variety of campus locations: including The Evans Library, The Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts, and the Rathskeller Pizza and Grill. At each International Night/Coffee Hour a different international campus organization will provide the entertainment, drinks, and snacks.

We hope to see you there!
