Hungary, Bratislava, and the Czech Republic - Global Experience Cities
Prague
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is built along the Vltava River and is often called the "City of a Hundred Spires." Its historic center brings together Gothic churches, Baroque facades and medieval streets.
Old Town Square is known for its Astronomical Clock, while the statue-lined Charles Bridge connects the Old Town with the Lesser Town. Prague Castle overlooks the river and the city's distinctive rooftops.
Budapest
Budapest, Hungary's capital, stretches along both banks of the Danube, with historic Buda on the western bank and lively Pest on the east. The riverfront is framed by the Hungarian Parliament, the Chain Bridge, and the Castle District, creating one of Central Europe's best-known city views.
Visitors can explore Fisherman's Bastion, St. Stephen's Basilica, grand boulevards and historic thermal baths. The Danube riverbanks and the Buda Castle District are part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing.
Bratislava
Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, sits on the Danube close to Austria and Hungary. Its compact Old Town combines medieval lanes, pastel-colored buildings and lively squares. Above the river, Bratislava Castle is one of the city's best-known landmarks and offers broad views across the city and the Danube.
Bratislava also served as the coronation town of the Kingdom of Hungary for centuries, a history reflected in St. Martin's Cathedral and the historic coronation route.
