Charlotte Eley

Bio

Meet Charlotte! She is a senior studying Clinical Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) in the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.

A local student from Melbourne, Florida, Charlotte chose Florida Tech because it allowed her to pursue her goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Psychologist while staying close to her family. The Psychology program offers flexibility in coursework, enabling her to explore different areas of the major that interest her.

As a President’s Ambassador, Charlotte hopes to positively represent Florida Tech while creating lasting connections with the people she meets through the program. She also aims to gain experience in professional conversations, refine her networking skills, and advance her career goals.

After graduation, she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology to eventually become a practicing child psychologist in Melbourne, Florida.

Her favorite thing about Florida Tech: “I love how intimate the campus and classes are, because I can get to know both my peers and professors more closely. The small size of the school leads to a lot of benefits, such as really tight-knit friend groups in my major, and exclusive learning opportunities in my professor's research labs. And I love going late night Florida Tech hockey games!”

Her involvement at Florida Tech: Panther Spirit Squad (Dance Captain), Undergraduate Clinical Psychology Research Assistant, Forensic Psychology Research Assistant, Child Applied Memory and Law Lab, Honors College
