Alyssa Fox

Bio

Meet Alyssa! She is a senior studying Clinical Psychology with a minor in Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) in the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.

Originally from Port St. Lucie, Florida, Alyssa chose Florida Tech for its proximity to her hometown, small class sizes, welcoming community, and the close camaraderie between students and faculty. Seeing how everyone on campus seemed to know one another, she immediately felt a sense of belonging and knew Florida Tech was the right place for her.

As a President’s Ambassador, Alyssa hopes to enhance her professionalism and leadership skills while giving back to the university by positively contributing to its legacy. She aims to show current and future students that their voices are valued and heard at Florida Tech by advocating for the continued success of the university.

After graduation, she hopes to continue her education in Florida Tech’s PsyD program to achieve her dream of becoming a clinical psychologist.

Her favorite thing about Florida Tech: “By far, the school’s emphasis on hands-on learning. Having the opportunity to work directly with my professors on research projects has helped me grow so much more than I could have ever imagined, both academically and personally. And Market Day! I love having the opportunity to support local artists and businesses right on campus.”

Her involvement at Florida Tech: Panther Peer Mentor Program, College Players, Campus Activities Board, Active Minds, Forensic Psychology and Science Society, Psychology Undergraduate Research Assistant, Child Applied Memory and Law Lab

Her involvement off-campus: Youth Mentor for Take Stock in Children
