Amber King

Bio

Meet Amber! She is a senior studying Forensic Psychology in the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.

A local student from Melbourne, Florida, Amber chose Florida Tech because of its proximity to her family and the impressive attention to allergens in Panther Dining Hall, which made her feel welcomed and secure. Knowing that the university takes student well-being seriously was a key factor in her decision to enroll.

As a President’s Ambassador, Amber plans to be an active member of the Florida Tech community by serving as a resource, supporting others, and contributing to the continued growth and improvement of the campus. She also hopes to gain valuable experience in leadership and communication while connecting with individuals both within and beyond Florida Tech.

After graduation, Amber plans to pursue a doctorate in Florida Tech’s Industrial/Organizational Psychology program. She aspires to drive meaningful change through a future professorship, mentoring students, contributing impactful research to the field, and helping improve the systems she is most passionate about.

Her favorite thing about Florida Tech: “I deeply admire Florida Tech’s commitment to research and see myself becoming increasingly involved each day. I am grateful for the mentors I have found through my research, whose eagerness to support my academic growth encourages me to seize every opportunity. With my goal of becoming a leader in academia, I value having strong role models in my field who are dedicated to my success.”
