Meet Your 2026-2027 Ambassadors

Meet Ian! He is a senior studying Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering & Science.

Originally from Westborough, Massachusetts, he chose Florida Tech because it felt like the right fit from his very first visit. From the dining hall to a botanical garden just a few species short of a tropical rainforest to watching rocket launches on the way to class, there was nowhere else he could imagine himself.

As a President’s Ambassador, he hopes to step out of his comfort zone and connect with new people while representing the university he loves so much. He’s excited to get into a room with industry leaders as well as learn how to ask better questions and market himself. He hopes to come out of this experience with a stronger network and a stronger set of professional skills.

After graduation, he plans to land a role in the aerospace industry or a similar sector to make cool things.

His favorite thing about Florida Tech: “My favorite thing about the Florida Tech experience is having so many like-minded people in one place. On the second day of freshman orientation, it seemed like my entire class was on the beach watching a rocket launch, same thing happened with Artemis, except it was the whole school. People here actually care about the things I care about, in a way that just isn't true back home.”

His involvement at Florida Tech: Rock Climbing Club (Treasurer), AIAA, Panther Rocket Lab, Triathlon Club

In his free time: “You can find me doing something that involves moving: running, biking, rock climbing, tennis, going on adventures. I've completed an IRONMAN 70.3 and am currently training for a marathon and hopefully a full IRONMAN next year. I also love trying new things and exploring new places. My goal is to see as many sunsets in as many places as possible!”
