Napoleon Joseph
Meet Napoleon! He is a sophomore studying Aeronautical Science with Flight in the College of Aeronautics.
From Miami, Florida, Napoleon chose Florida Tech because he wanted to attend a university where he could turn his passion for aviation into a real career. Florida Tech stood out because of its strong aviation program, hands-on flight training, and the opportunities it provides outside of the classroom. Napoleon also appreciated the close-knit community that offers relationships with the other students, faculty, and staff. In his time at Florida Tech, Napoleon has realized that Florida Tech is more than just a place to earn a degree. Florida Tech has given him opportunities to grow as a student, a pilot, and a leader. He chose Florida Tech because he knew this would be a place where he could challenge himself, get involved, and prepare for the future he wants in aviation.
As a President’s Ambassador, Napoleon hopes to represent the university in a way that makes everyone feel welcomed and connected to the university. He looks forward to sharing his authentic experiences and showcasing what makes Florida Tech special, like the opportunities for students to grow both personally and professionally. He wants to become a stronger leader and communicator by working with different people across campus. Most importantly, he wants to give back to the university that already has given him so many opportunities.
After graduation, his goal is to become a pilot at a major airline. Aviation has been a passion of his for a long time, and Florida Tech is helping him turn that passion into a career. He has met so many different students, instructors, and staff members at Florida Tech who have made his time on campus more enjoyable and memorable. He appreciates the deep sense of community at Florida Tech.
His favorite thing about Florida Tech: “My favorite thing about the Florida Tech experience is the people. I have met so many different students, instructors, and staff members who have made my time here more enjoyable and memorable. Whether it is talking with friends, learning from my instructors, or meeting new people around campus, I really appreciate the sense of community at Florida Tech. The people I have met have helped me feel more connected to the university and have made Florida Tech feel like more than just a place where I go to school. They are a big part of what makes my experience here special.”
His involvement at Florida Tech: Residence Life, College of Aeronautics Office Assistant
In his free time: “I enjoy working out, astrophotography, and cooking. Working out is a great way for me to stay active and clear my mind, while astrophotography gives me a chance to slow down and explore my interest in space. I also enjoy cooking, especially trying new recipes and making meals for myself.”
