Meet Your 2026-2027 Ambassadors

Meet Kate! She is a Junior studying Aeronautical Science with Flight and Flight Operations and Dispatch in the College of Aeronautics.

Originally from Stuart, Florida, she chose Florida Tech because the aviation program here was the most grounded and welcoming program she had visited. Her tour of the flight line proved to her that Florida Tech put so much effort into getting to know each and every student.

As a President’s Ambassador, she looks forward to personal growth. While she’s confident in who she currently is, she is excited to learn more about aviation and professionalism.

After graduation, she aims to become a corporate jet captain. In pursuit of that goal, she plans to become a certified flight instructor and have the same impact on her students as her instructors have had on her. One day, she hopes to fly an aircraft across the Atlantic from her home in the United States to her family in the Netherlands.

Her favorite thing about Florida Tech: “Market day! I get fairy hair/tinsel consistently every single month. I missed her a lot over the summer.”

Her involvement at Florida Tech: Younglife (Leader), Tennis Club (Event Staff), Surf Club, Women in Aviation International, Collegiate Aviation Business Executives

In her free time: “Country dance, line dancing and swing dancing are two of my all-time favorite activities.”
