Florida Tech is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, education specialist and doctoral degrees. The commission requests they be contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support an institution’s significant noncompliance with a requirement or standard.
The College of Engineering and Science has ten programs accredited by ABET.
The undergraduate aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, ocean engineering and software engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
The undergraduate computer science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
The undergraduate program in chemistry is certified by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Students may obtain ACS-certified degrees by following a prescribed curriculum.
