The College of Engineering and Science holds the following accreditations and memberships.
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges
Florida Institute of Technology is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, education specialist and doctoral degrees. The commission requests they are contacted only if there is evidence that appears to support an institution’s significant noncompliance with a requirement or standard.
Engineering and Computer Science Programs Accreditation
The undergraduate aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, ocean engineering and software engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
The undergraduate computer science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET.
Chemistry Programs Certification and Membership(s)
The undergraduate program in chemistry is certified by the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Students may obtain ACS-certified degrees by following a prescribed curriculum.
The chemistry faculty at Florida Tech is a member of the Council for Chemical Research.
