Scholarship Recipient Obligations

Students who accept an Army ROTC Scholarship and contract with the Army are required to meet academic, ROTC, training, and military service obligations.

Scholarship recipients are required to:

• Sign an Army ROTC Cadet contract
• Maintain the required academic standards and degree requirements
• Complete required ROTC coursework and training
• Attend the 6-week ROTC Advanced Camp, normally between the junior and senior years
• Accept a commission upon completion of academic and ROTC requirements
• Fulfill the applicable military service obligation after commissioning

The overall military service obligation is eight years and may be fulfilled through Active Duty, the Army National Guard, the U.S. Army Reserve, or a combination depending on the commissioning and component selection.
