Florida Bright Futures Scholarships

Did you know that you can use your Bright Futures Scholarship at private Florida schools like Florida Tech? You sure can! It works a bit differently at private schools than state schools. Here's how:

  • Scholarships are earned by students who graduate from a Florida high school or Florida home school program
  • Florida Tech participates in the Bright Futures Academic and Medallion scholarship programs
  • Student Eligibility is determined by the State of Florida.
  • Eligible students receive funding at a rate determined by the state of Florida, which is the equivalent to what a student would receive at a public institution.
  • During the 2025-2026 academic year, the rates were:
    • $212 Per Credit Hour for Academic Scholars
    • $159 Per Credit Hour for Medallion Scholars
