The mission of the Environmental Health & Safety Department is to ensure the safety of students, employees and visitors to Florida Institute of Technology and the preservation of the environment by the application of a comprehensive safety program to regulatory and industry standards.
The mission of the Safety Committee shall be to work towards the elimination of work place injuries and illnesses. The Safety Committee provides a means for active participation of staff, their representatives, and management personnel to assist Florida Tech in achieving a safe and healthful workplace. Operating within an established set of bylaws, the goals of the committees include promoting wellness, and investigating complaints and accountability.
