James E. Good, P.E. is President and Owner of JE Good Consulting Engineers, LLC, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, founded in 2013. Jim brings more than 30 years of professional engineering experience, including senior leadership roles with consulting engineering firms in the Baltimore–Washington region. He has led complex projects throughout the United States and internationally, supporting a broad range of public- and private-sector clients.

Jim is a licensed Professional Engineer in 22 states and a LEED Accredited Professional, with extensive experience delivering engineering solutions for government, mission-critical, manufacturing, industrial, commercial, academic, and healthcare facilities. His career reflects a strong commitment to technical excellence, collaboration, and the successful execution of projects across multiple delivery methods. 

Jim’s Engineering experience began in 1990 with a Co-Op position at NASA Kennedy Space Center in the Communication and Instrumentation Division, Voice Communication Branch.  The engineers and technicians he worked with provided an early foundation in engineering ethics and provided years of mentorship.  He directly contributes his success in Engineering to the Florida Tech Career Services Department and Mr. Arthur Belefant, P.E., who taught the spring 1994 semester course in Facility Engineering at Florida Tech.

In addition to his professional practice, Jim serves as a Chapter Leadership Coach for the Pi Lambda Phi – Florida Tech – Florida Delta Upsilon Chapter, where he mentors students in leadership development and professional readiness, helping prepare them to transition successfully from academia to professional careers.  Jim is an active member of in the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers, IEEE IAS Baltimore Chapter, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, National Fire Protection Association, Internation Code Council, Electric League of Maryland, Delaware Valley Power Quality Group, Engineering Society of York, Manufacturer’s Association, and Association of School Business Officials.   In his free time Jim enjoys sailing and going to music festivals.
