Biosafety (Biomedical Waste, bloodborne pathogens) Florida Statute of 64E-16 and OSHA 1910.1030 Initial and annual Each facility or their designee shall train new personnel who handle biomedical waste as part of their work responsibilities. This training shall be provided prior to commencement of duties related to biomedical waste handling. Refresher training shall be completed annually by all personnel who handle biomedical waste. Training shall detail compliance with the facility's operation plan and Chapter 64E-16, F.A.C., and shall be maintained as part of the operating plan. OSHA: The employer shall train each employee with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens to be trained initially and annually thereafter.
Emergency and Fire Preparedness 1910.38(e) Initial and annual Employers must train their employees on the emergency action plan initially and when duties or the plan changes.
Hazardous Waste Management 40 CFR 262.17(a)(7) Initial and annual Facility personnel must successfully complete a program of classroom instruction, online training (e.g., computer-based or electronic), or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with this part. Facility personnel must successfully complete the program required in paragraph (a)(7)(i) of this section within six months after the date of their employment or assignment to the facility, or to a new position at the facility, whichever is later. Facility personnel must take part in an annual review.

Oil Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) 40 CFR 112.7(f) Initial and annual At a minimum, train your oil-handling personnel in the operation and 
maintenance of equipment to prevent discharges; discharge procedure protocols; applicable pollution control laws, rules, and regulations; general facility operations; and, the contents of the facility SPCC Plan. Schedule and conduct discharge prevention briefings for your oil-handling personnel at least once a year to assure adequate understanding of the SPCC Plan for that facility.
