The duration of our programs is intended to provide time to complete your fieldwork. While fieldwork is not required to complete our programs, it is highly recommended. It assists you in gaining fluency in your curriculum. If you elect not to complete your fieldwork until after the coursework has started or is completed, it will delay your ability to take the BCBA exam. Fieldwork has a 5-year statute of limitations from the date you apply for your BCBA exam.
If you are looking for sites to obtain your hours fieldwork hours and required supervision, I recommend going to the ABAI and BACB websites. ABAI has a job posting page. Students could search for agencies in need of RBTs, BCaBAs and BCBAs. The BACB has a feature by which you can search for BCBA supervisors by region (e.g., state, zip code…). Contacting local people and asking about sites/supervision/experiences/populations served could lead someone to a good fit.
